Born in Atlantic City, NJ and grew up at the beach, swiming and fishing all the time. FIS moved me to North Carolina and I now have the best of both worlds, the beach and the beautiful mountains. NC feels more like home; love it.

Born in Iowa. Lived in Iowa all my life. No beach or mountains….just corn, corn, and more corn. We feed the world (unless you only eat seafood). Traveling east to west thru Iowa you’ll see Davenport, corn, corn, corn, Iowa City, corn, corn, corn, corn, Des Moines, corn, corn, corn, Sioux City.

I’m a native Texan, and have lived here for most of my life. Lived in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia for a while, but ended up back at home a few years ago. The Texas heat is getting hard to take, though, so I’m often envious of the folks who live in cooler areas.

I was born and raised in Vermont. A lanscape of pastures and green mountains. The leaves are changing color and the white stuff will be flying soon. We have apple cider in the fall and maple syrup in spring.

Central New York through and through. Generations back to 1709 on my Dad’s side and back to the 1880s from Scotland on my mother’s side. Nothing like lake effect snow off Lake Ontario – 150-160 inches a year on average. Adirondacks and Southern Tier (Old Forge, Plattsburgh, Ithaca, Genessee valley) are all great sights. Scenic rides from almost anywhere in the state.

THE GREAT STATE OF TEXAS! Home of the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks and Texas A&M. Where Friday night High School football rules! Entire towns will shut down for a Friday night game.

The King Ranch in Texas is larger than the state of Rhode Island.

Austin is the live music capital of the world.

The armadillo is the official state mammal.

It is still a hanging offense in Texas to steal cattle or to put graffiti on someone else’s cow. It is also illegal to indecently expose or swear in front of a corpse in Texas. In Galveston, Texas, it is illegal to have a camel run loose on the beach.

I was born and raised in a small town called Atmore, Alabama. We were the home of “Big Yellow Momma.” She was the states electric chair. When the chair was used, the lights would dim and go out in our small town. Now, I live outside of Birmingham, Alabama not too far from the Bama Girls Leslie, Shelby, Beth, Tracey, and Tammy.

I was born in Dodge City, Kansas. As my cousin used to say, “Yep, me and Matt Dillon”. I spent most of my formative years in Aurora, Colorado, then the family moved to Texas in 1978. I lived in Amarillo until I moved to Austin for the opening of the Data Center in 1987. I moved to San Marcos in 1993. And here I sit. I really miss the mountains and hope to live near some again one day.

  1. Born and raised in Auburn, Maine – traveled all around the US and Meditterranean and always come back home to Maine! There is nothing quite like the changing of seasons in New England 🙂

I am a southern bell, born and bred in Sweet Home Alabama, also known as the “Alabama the Beautiful”. I have traveled to other states but always ready to get back to the south. Went to New Youk one time and it scared me, so differnt than what I am use too. Been to Hawaii and it is the most beautiful place ever. If I ever wanted to move, it would be there. So peaceful and slow paced. I have one son Michael and I told him if he ever moved he better get prepared for me to move as well. Can’t live away from him, I would follow him to the moon if I had too.

I am originally from a small town in South Alabama called Atmore. We were the home of “Big Yellow Momma.” She was the electric chair for Alabama. Now, our town is known for either the prison or for the casino. Strange combination huh? LOL
